Moto3 San Marino, Practice Two Results: Alonso sets a new lap record, Ogden pushed into the gravel

Gold and Goose

David Alonso set a new Moto3 Lap Record at Misano as he topped the Practice time sheets.

The 14 riders that will automatically get into the second Qualifying session in Moto3 have been decided. On Friday afternoon it was Adrian Fernandez that led the way, but KTM struck back on Saturday morning.

It was the Championship leader, David Alonso, who returned to the top of the time sheets once again. The Colombian rider is back at the top of the pile and leads the way into Qualifying.

His Championship rivals, Jose Antonio Rueda and Collin Veijer ended up in second and third. The Spaniard and the Dutchman finished first and second in Aragon and are once again hot on Alonso's heels.

Despite topping yesterday's afternoon Practice session Fernandez dropped back down to fourth place. However, he was the top Honda rider as his teammate, Angel Piqueras, was back in sixth place.

In fifth place was Ivan Ortola, the Spaniard has been off form in recent weeks as his Championship challenge is fading away.

In seventh and eighth places were two more KTM riders, Daniel Holgado and Stefano Nepa.

The final Honda in the top ten was Matteo Bertelle in ninth place. With Ryuesi Yamanaka on the MT Helmets - MSi machine completing the top ten.

Scott Ogden ended up finishing in 18th after being taken out by Piqueras on his final flying lap.
