Moto3 Thailand, Qualifying Results: Kelso claims his first pole position, Ogden will start from sixth

Australian rider, Joel Kelso, will start the Thai Grand Prix from pole position ahead of Veijer and Piqueras.

On Friday Joel Kelso could not match David Alonso around the Chang International Circuit. However, on Saturday it was the Australian who beat the Colombian to pole position. For the first time in 2024, Kelso will start from pole position.

Lining up in second place will be Collin Veijer on the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP machine. The Dutch rider was 0.073 seconds off securing pole position in Thailand.

The top Honda rider on the Moto3 grid will be Angel Piqueras on the Leopard Racing Moto3 machine. The Spaniard will start from the edge of the front row in third place.

Honda Team Asia rider, Taiyo Furusato, will start the Thai Grand Prix from fourth place on the grid. The Japanese rider has not stood on the podium since Germany and will want to change that this weekend.

The Moto3 Champion, Alonso, will start the Thai Grand Prix from fifth place on the grid. Alonso is currently on the hunt for his fifth Moto3 victory in a row.

Completing the second row is the FleetSafe AI - MLav Racing rider, Scott Ogden. The British rider will start from sixth place on the grid.

The third row is filled with Spanish riders as Daniel Holgado heads the row in seventh place on the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 machine.

David Almansa will start in eighth place on the Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team machine and Ivan Ortola completed the row in ninth place.

Rounding out the top ten was Luca Lunetta on the SIC58 Squadra Corse Honda machine.
