Gold & Goose

After 2,093 days, Alex Marquez returned to the top step of a Grand Prix podium as he claimed victory at home.

Alex Marquez has not won a Grand Prix since the Moto2 Grand Prix in the Czech Republic in 2019. The Spaniard finally returned to the top step of a Grand Prix podium after winning his home race for BK8 Gresini Racing.

Fabio Quartararo returned to the podium for the first time since the Indonesian Grand Prix in 2023. The French rider was 1.561 seconds behind Marquez, but was back on the rostrum once again.

Francesco Bagnaia took third place at the Circuito de Jerez, meaning his winning streak came to an end. The Italian rider could not match Alex Marquez or Quartararo's pace, but secured good points.

The top KTM rider was once again Maverick Vinales on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine. Vinales was 3.678 seconds behind Marquez, but claimed his best Grand Prix victory as a KTM rider.

Completing the top five was Fabio di Giannantonio on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team machine. The Italian was the final Ducati rider inside the top ten as he finished 7.267 seconds behind the race winner.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team finished together in sixth and seventh places. Brad Binder finished in sixth with his young teammate in seventh place.

The top Aprilia rider was once again Ai Ogura. The MotoGP rookie had been on a difficult run but put together a good result in Jerez.

Enea Bastianini put all four of the KTM riders inside the top ten after finishing in ninth place for the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad.

Rounding out the top ten was the top Honda rider of Luca Marini, on the Honda HRC Castrol machine.

Marc Marquez lost the lead of the Championship to his brother after finishing in 12th place. The factory Ducati rider crashed in the early stages of the race and made his way back through the order.
