After Fabio Quartararo crashed out of victory contention, Marc Marquez dominated in Spain.
Marc Marquez may have started from second place, but he made light work of pole sitter Fabio Quartararo. The Spaniard gained the lead on lap two and ran away from the rest of the field and won by over a second.
Alex Marquez finished in second place in the Sprint Race on the BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati GP24. The Spaniard once again had to settle for second place behind his older brother at his home Grand Prix.
Completing an all-Ducati top three was Francesco Bagnaia on the Ducati Lenovo factory machine. The Italian rider was unable to match the Marquez brothers' pace as he finished three seconds behind Marc.
Franco Morbidelli missed out on the podium by 0.453 seconds as he crossed the line in fourth place. The Italian and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team continue to be a consistent front runner.
MotoGP rookie, Fermin Aldeguer, finished his home Sprint Race in fifth place on the BK8 Gresini Racing machine. The Spaniards race could have gone very differently after a huge moment in the opening laps.
Fabio di Giannantonio rounded out an all-Ducati top six at the Circuito de Jerez. The Italian rider was 1.900 seconds behind Aldeguer in fifth.
The first non-Ducati rider was Maverick Vinales on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine. The Spaniard was 7.849 seconds behind Marc Marquez at the end of the 12-lap Sprint Race.
Marco Bezzecchi was the top Aprilia rider during the Sprint Race at the Circuito de Jerez. The Italian rider finished in eighth place on the Aprilia RS-GP.
The top Honda rider was Joan Mir as he rounded out the point scoring positions in ninth place on the Honda HRC Castrol machine.
