Marc Marquez topped the timesheets on the factory Ducati in the Friday morning session at the Sachsenring.
As expected, it was Marc Marquez who took top spot on Friday morning at the Sachsenring. The factory Ducati rider held a 0.109-second lead over the rest of the field at the end of the opening session.
The closest rider to Marquez in Free Practice One was Jack Miller from the Prima Pramac Racing squad; the Australian rider put his Yamaha M1 into second place.
Marco Bezzecchi ended the morning session in third place on the Aprilia Racing machine as he was 0.315 seconds behind Marquez.
Johann Zarco was the top Honda rider in Free Practice One as he put his LCR Honda Castrol machine into fourth place at the German circuit.
Maverick Vinales made it so that all five manufacturers featured inside the top five as he was in fifth place on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine.
Outside of the top five was the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider of Fabio di Giannantonio, who ended the morning in sixth place.
Factory Honda rider, Joan Mir, was inside the top ten as he finished in seventh place on the Honda HRC Castrol machine.
Fabio Quartararo has not won a MotoGP race since the 2022 German Grand Prix. The French rider started his weekend in a positive way as he was in eighth place.
In ninth place was the Italian rider of Francesco Bagnaia, the two-time MotoGP World Champion was 0.700 seconds behind his teammate who was at the top of the timesheets.
Completing the top ten was the third Yamaha rider inside the top ten of Miguel Oliveira on the Prima Pramac Racing M1.
