MotoGP Austria, Practice Results | Marc Marquez set the pace on Friday at the Red Bull Ring

Marc Marquez topped both Practice sessions on Friday at the Red Bull Ring and was fully in control across the day.

Across both Practice sessions on Friday at the Red Bull Ring, Marc Marquez led the way for the Ducati factory team and had a 0.228-second advantage over the field.

The top KTM rider on Friday at their home Grand Prix was Pedro Acosta from the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing squad, as he ended the day in second place on the timesheets.

Francesco Bagnaia had a positive opening day at the Austrian Grand Prix as he ended up in third place for the Ducati Lenovo Team.

Alex Marquez ended both Friday Practice sessions in fourth place on the timesheets for the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP squad.

The only Aprilia rider to progress to Q2 after Friday's Practice was Raul Fernandez, who ended the day in fifth place on the Trackhouse Racing machine.

Joan Mir was able to gain access to Q2 after he ended Friday in sixth place on the Honda HRC Castrol machine.

Franco Morbidelli was the fourth Ducati rider inside the top ten as he ended up in seventh on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team machine.

LCR Honda Castrol rider, Johann Zarco, ended the day in eighth place and was the second Honda to gain access to Q2 on Saturday.

MotoGP rookie, Fermin Aldeguer, was the fifth and final Ducati rider in the top ten on Friday as he ended up in ninth place.

Completing the top ten was the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Brad Binder.
