Marc Marquez claimed his first win at the Red Bull Ring with a Saturday Sprint Race victory for the factory Ducati squad.
For the 12th time in the 2025 MotoGP season, Marc Marquez has stood on top of the Sprint Race podium after controlling the Sprint on Saturday at the Red Bull Ring.
Alex Marquez led the early laps of the Sprint, but after making a mistake, he was passed by his brother and had to settle for second place once again.
Pedro Acosta has featured on the last two Sprint Race podiums as he backed up his second place at Brno with a third place at the Red Bull Ring on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine.
Despite starting from pole, Marco Bezzecchi was unable to challenge for the Sprint Race podium as he finished in fourth place for Aprilia Racing.
KTM were able to get two riders inside the top three as Brad Binder recorded his best Sprint Race result of the season with a fifth-place finish.
Fermin Aldeguer had his best Sprint Race performance since the Aragon Grand Prix as he finished in sixth place for the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP squad.
All three KTM riders who started the Sprint Race in Austria ended up in the points, as Enea Bastianini finished in seventh place for Red Bull KTM Tech3.
Fabio di Giannantonio had a poor qualifying performance on Saturday morning, but scored points in the afternoon with an eighth place in the Sprint.
Taking the final point was the LCR Honda Castrol rider of Johann Zarco, who crossed the line in ninth place.
Francesco Bagnaia failed to finish the Sprint Race after he retired with what appeared to be a technical issue.
