MotoGP Hungary, Practice Results | Pedro Acosta set the pace on Friday afternoon

Gold & Goose

Pedro Acosta topped the Friday afternoon Practice session despite a crash in the latter moments of the session.

On Friday afternoon at the Balaton Park Circuit, it was not a Ducati that topped the timesheets, but instead it was Pedro Acosta from the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

At the end of the opening day, Marc Marquez found himself in second place on the timesheets and was 0.006 seconds behind Acosta at the end of the hour-long session.

The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP squad were together on the timesheets with Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer in third and fourth place.

Rounding out the top five was the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider Enea Bastianini, who was 0.354 seconds behind Marc Marquez.

Outside of the top five was the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider of Franco Morbidelli, in sixth place.

Both of the factory Honda HRC Castrol riders will be in Q2 on Saturday as they ended Friday in seventh and ninth place in the afternoon Practice session.

Separating the two factory Honda riders was the Red Bull KTM Tech3 stand-in rider of Pol Espargaro, in eighth.

Completing the top ten and the automatic Q2 positions was the Monster Energy Yamaha rider of Fabio Quartararo.
