Marc Marquez completed a perfect day at the Balaton Park Circuit as he secured pole position and Sprint Race victory.
It was Marc Marquez domination on Saturday at the Balaton Park Circuit. The eight-time World Champion topped every session and went on to win the Sprint Race in the afternoon.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team finished second and third behind Marquez, as Fabio di Giannantonio crossed the line in second with Franco Morbidelli behind him in third.
Luca Marini was able to secure his best result as a Honda HRC Castrol rider as he finished in fourth place for the Japanese manufacturer.
More was expected for the MotoGP rookie, Fermin Aldeguer. However, the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider was able to finish in fifth place on the satellite Ducati.
Joan Mir narrowly missed out on a top-five finish as the Spaniard went on to finish in sixth after making some mistakes throughout the Sprint.
Marco Bezzecchi was the top Aprilia rider as he crossed the line in seventh place. The Italian was involved in an incident at the start and lost a lot of ground at the first corner, and could not make it back up.
Alex Marquez never seemingly got going during the 13-lap Sprint Race around Balaton Park as he finished in eighth place.
Scoring the final point on Saturday afternoon was the reigning MotoGP World Champion, Jorge Martin.
