MotoGP San Marino, Practice Results | Marc Marquez led the way on Friday at Misano

At the end of the opening day of Practice at the San Marino Grand Prix, Marc Marquez topped the timesheets.

Marc Marquez started the weekend in fifth place in Free Practice One, but in the afternoon session, he was in control as he topped the Practice session on the factory Ducati.

After ending up in eighth place in Free Practice One, Marco Bezzecchi made his way up the order in the afternoon Practice session as he finished in second place and was 0.147 seconds behind Marquez.

Franco Morbidelli topped Free Practice One on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati, but slipped back to third in the afternoon session.

After a terrible Friday last week at the Catalan Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia had a positive start to his weekend at Misano as he ended the opening day in fourth place.

Rounding out the top five was the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez, who ended the day in fifth place on the Ducati GP24.

The factory Honda HRC Castrol squad had a positive opening day at the San Marino Grand Prix as both riders secured a Q2 spot with a sixth place for Joan Mir and a seventh place for Luca Marini.

Jorge Martin was able to secure himself a spot in Q2 on Saturday as he ended the Friday afternoon Practice session in eighth place on the Aprilia Racing RS-GP.

The top KTM in the Friday afternoon session was the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Pedro Acosta, who was the only KTM rider to secure an automatic Q2 spot.

Completing the top ten was the Pertamina Enduro Vr46 Racing Team rider, Fabio di Giannantonio.
