Marc Marquez held off Marco Bezzecchi at the San Marino Grand Prix to claim his 99th Grand Prix victory.
After crashing out of the lead in the Sprint Race, Marc Marquez returned to winning ways at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and claimed his 99th Grand Prix victory as he extended his Championship lead.
Marco Bezzecchi claimed victory in the Sprint Race on Saturday, but finished second in the Grand Prix. Despite his best efforts, the Italian rider was not able to regain the lead from Marquez.
The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez, had a lonely race at the San Marino Grand Prix. He finished the 27-lap race around the Italian circuit in third place and was 7.734 seconds behind his brother.
It was a solid showing from the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at their home race as Franco Morbidelli finished in fourth place, and Fabio di Giannantonio finished in fifth place.
MotoGP rookie, Fermin Aldeguer, was outside of the top five on the BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati GP24 as he finished in sixth place.
Luca Marini was the top Honda rider at his home Grand Prix; the Italian rider took a seventh-place finish for the Japanese manufacturer on the RC213V.
Yamaha had two riders inside the top ten at the end of the San Marino Grand Prix. Fabio Quartararo faded during the race and crossed the line in eighth place, and Miguel Oliveira came through the order and finished in ninth.
Completing the top ten was the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Brad Binder, who was the only KTM rider to finish the race.
