Marco Bezzecchi secured his third Sprint Race win of the 2025 MotoGP season as he battled his way to victory in Australia.
After qualifying in the middle of the front row earlier in the day, Marco Bezzecchi was able to take back-to-back Sprint Race victories for the Aprilia Racing squad, backing up his win at Mandalika with a win at Phillip Island.
Aprilia took their first 1-2 in a MotoGP Sprint Race as Trackhouse Racing rider, Raul Fernandez, was back on the Sprint Race podium with a second-place finish.
Rounding out the podium was the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Pedro Acosta. This was the Spaniards fourth Sprint Race podium of the 2025 season.
The top Yamaha in the Sprint Race at Phillip Island was the home hero, Jack Miller. The Prima Pramac Racing rider was in the podium fight and threw everything at it on the final lap, but took fourth place.
To find the top Ducati rider on Saturday, you have to look back to fifth place on the results, where you find the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, Fabio di Giannantonio.
The second Ducati rider inside the points at the Australian Grand Prix Sprint Race was the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez, who ended the day in sixth place.
Despite qualifying in pole position, Fabio Quartararo was not able to fight in the Sprint Race and the Monster Energy Yamaha rider slipped back through the order to seventh.
For the sixth time in the 2025 season, Luca Marini was able to score points in the Saturday Sprint Race as the Honda HRC Castrol rider finished in eighth place at Phillip Island.
Taking the final point in the Sprint Race was the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider and KTM Factory Racing Test Rider, Pol Espargaro, who crossed the line in ninth.
