For the first time since the Catalan Grand Prix, Alex Marquez took a Grand Prix victory at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.
Alex Marquez secured his third Grand Prix victory of the 2025 MotoGP season as the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider controlled the Malaysian Grand Prix from the front after taking the lead in the early laps.
For the fourth time in the 2025 season, Pedro Acosta has featured on a Grand Prix podium as he took second place for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing squad, but he was 2.676 seconds behind Marquez.
Joan Mir took his second Grand Prix podium of the flyaways as he backed up his third place in Japan with a third-place finish at the Malaysian Grand Prix for the Honda HRC Castrol squad.
Franco Morbidelli had his best Grand Prix result since the San Marino Grand Prix as the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider finished the 20-lap race in fourth place.
Rounding out the top five was the top Yamaha rider, Fabio Quartararo. The Frenchman was the sole Yamaha rider in the top ten, but was 11.556 seconds behind Marquez.
Fabio di Giannantonio could not back up his podium at the Australian Grand Prix this weekend at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit as he finished in sixth place.
Enea Bastianini had his best Grand Prix result since his podium at the Catalan Grand Prix as he finished inside the top ten with a seventh-place finish for the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad.
The second Honda HRC Castrol rider, Luca Marini, was inside the top ten in the Malaysian Grand Prix and secured an eighth-place finish on the factory RC213V.
Brad Binder was the third KTM rider inside the top ten as he took his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine to a ninth-place finish.
Completing the top ten was MotoGP rookie Ai Ogura, who was also the top Aprilia rider for the Trackhouse Racing squad.
