Superbike Advocates are aiming to wildcard in the 2026 WorldSBK Championship

Superbike Advocates

Superbike Advocates have applied to make three wildcard appearances in World Superbikes ahead of their British Superbike debut.

It has been reported that the Superbike Advocates Racing Team are looking to set up multiple wildcards in World Superbikes ahead of their debut in the British Superbike Championship.

Across the latter rounds of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, it had been suggested that Superbike Advocates would enter the series on a full-time basis in 2026. It was also reported that if the team did make the jump into the World Championship, they would hire Andrea Iannone as their rider.

However, a recent report from Speedweek.com has stated that Superbike Advocates will not be entering World Superbikes on a full-time basis, but instead as a wildcard team. It has been suggested that the team will wildcard in the series before their debut British Superbike campaign gets underway.

It is understood that the Australian team are planning to make wildcard appearances at the Australian, Portuguese, and Dutch World Superbike Rounds, which are the opening three rounds of the season.

These three rounds will also take place before the opening round of the British Superbike Championship in May, but it is possible that the team could wildcard again later on in the 2026 season.

But it has also been reported that the team will not have any connection with Andrea Iannone in the World Superbike Championship. Instead, it has been reported that they would wildcard in World Superbikes with Tommy Bridewell.

The 2023 British Superbike Champion is expected to sign for Superbike Advocates for the 2026 British Superbike Championship after parting ways with Honda Racing UK, but no official confirmation has been made.
