Spanish rider Albert Arenas will leave the Grand Prix paddock at the end of the season, and has been on good form at Portimao, as he finished Practice in third place.

The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad had both of their riders inside the top five on Friday afternoon, with Manuel Gonzalez in fourth place and Senna Agius in fifth place.

Despite both riders crashing at the end of the session, the CFMOTO Aspar Team had both riders in the top ten, with Daniel Holgado in sixth and David Alonso in seventh.

Izan Guevara had a difficult time in Australia and Malaysia, but the Spaniard had a positive Friday in Portimao as he ended the day in eighth place.

Barry Baltus was back inside the top ten as the Belgian rider ended the day in ninth place for the Fantic Racing Lino Sonego squad.

Completing the top ten was the Moto2 rookie, Collin Veijer, for the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad.
