The Moto2 Rookie of the Year, Daniel Holgado, topped the final Moto2 Friday afternoon Practice session of the weekend.
Despite a crash in the latter minutes of Moto2 Practice, Daniel Holgado was able to top the timesheets with a new Moto2 Lap Record around the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
British rider Jake Dixon was the top Boscoscuro rider, and he ended the opening day at the Valencia Grand Prix in second place on the timesheets.
Daniel Munoz has continued with the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad and ended Friday at the Moto2 season finale in third place.
After a poor showing in Free Practice One, Izan Guevara was back at the sharp end in the afternoon as he ended the Practice session in fourth.
Rounding out the top five was the KLINT Forward Factory Team rider, Alex Escrig. He may not have been able to match his Free Practice One performance, but he will be in Q2 on Saturday.
Just outside of the top ten was the top Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider, Senna Agius, who was in sixth place.
Celestino Vietti will be in Q2 on Saturday after he ended the opening day inside the top ten with a seventh place in the afternoon Practice session.
Barry Baltus is still in the hunt for his first Grand Prix victory as he ended the opening day in eighth place for the Fantic Racing Lino Sonego squad.
Both of the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 riders will be in Q2 after Tony Arbolino joined his teammate in the top ten in ninth place in Moto2 Practice.
Completing the top ten was the Moto2 Championship contender, Manuel Gonzalez, who needed a positive display on Friday at Valencia.
The current Moto2 World Championship leader, Diogo Moreira, will have to go through Q1 on Saturday after he ended the opening day in 19th place.
