MotoGP Valencia, Practice Results | Pedro Acosta led the way on Day One at Valencia

Pedro Acosta topped the timesheets at the end of the opening day at the final round of the MotoGP season.

At the end of the opening day at the Valencia Grand Prix, Pedro Acosta topped the timesheets in the afternoon MotoGP Practice session at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

Despite a crash during the hour-long session, Marco Bezzecchi was in second place at the end of the session for the Aprilia Racing squad.

The top Ducati rider at the end of the opening day was the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, Franco Morbidelli, who was in third place on the Ducati GP24.

Alex Marquez was the second Ducati rider to feature inside the top five on Friday afternoon as the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider was in fourth place.

MotoGP rookie Ai Ogura overcame a big crash in the middle of the afternoon Practice session to come back and end the day in fifth place on the Trackhouse Racing Aprilia.

The top Yamaha rider at the end of the day was the Prima Pramac Racing rider, Jack Miller. The Australian rider topped Free Practice One and was sixth in the afternoon session.

Ducati riders Fabio di Giannantonio and Fermin Aldeguer both ended the day inside the top ten, with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider in seventh and the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider in eighth.

Joan Mir was the top Honda rider at the end of the opening day at the MotoGP season finale, as the Spaniard ended Friday in ninth place for the Honda HRC Castrol squad.

Completing the top ten on Friday afternoon at the Valencia Grand Prix was the 2021 MotoGP World Champion, Fabio Quartararo.
