Aprilia reveals 2026 MotoGP challenger in Milan with several changes

Aprilia has launched its 2026 MotoGP bike in Milan, ahead of a season of high expectation for the Noale brand.

Held at the Sky TV studios in Milan, Aprilia’s 2026 team launch saw them reveal their 2026 RS-GP for the first time.

The Noale manufacturer ended the 2025 season with back-to-back wins and with three wins from the last four races in the absence of Marc Marquez, who had won the title for Ducati with five races to spare.

The 2026 RS-GP is one Aprilia will clearly hope can move on from the success enjoyed by the 2025 bike, particularly in the hands of Marco Bezzecchi who won three times in his debut season with Aprilia.

On the other hand, Jorge Martin’s first MotoGP season with the team was a disaster, finishing only four races in a season marred completely by injuries. The Spaniard has barely had time to learn the Aprilia yet, so the upcoming preseason tests are sure to be vital for his 2026 campaign.

Aprilia was certainly one of the factories to bring more obviously radical changes to its bike at the Valencia test last November, with a new fairing as well as two new rear aerodynamic configurations debuted in the post-season test.

The new fairing and one of the rear solutions are both featured on the photoshoot images of the 2026 bike, but we will only know Aprilia’s setup preference once testing has gotten underway. Testing begins with the Sepang Shakedown test on 29–31 January before the first official test, also in Sepang, on 3–5 February.

One thing that is for sure is that the livery remains almost completely unchanged this year, Aprilia sticking with the black-and-red combination that it has used also in the past few seasons. There is the addition of what seems to be a lion on the side fairing at the end of the ‘Aprilia’ text.

Aprilia's launch is the third of this year, after Pramac Yamaha unveiled its new rider Toprak Razgatlioglu and VR46 Ducati showed off an updated 2026 livery.
