Daniel Holgado leaves his first Moto2 test with a 'very good feeling' on his new machine.
Moto2 rookie, Daniel Holgado, made his Moto2 debut last week at a test in Jerez. The Spaniard rode alongside fellow rookies and his new teammate David Alonso.
Holgado ended the 2024 Moto3 World Championship in second place after winning a race and securing seven further podiums.
The 19-year-old has joined the CFMoto Aspar Racing Team for his first year in the middleweight class. In his first test with a Moto2 machine Holgado completed 149 laps and had a 'very good feeling' on his new bike.
“We have made a great job," Holgado said. "I have had a very good feeling in my debut in Moto2, I have gradually gained confidence with the bike.
"I am very happy with all the work we have done, and I am going home wanting for more. This bike is very fun, but I will have to wait a couple of months to try it again. I am sure they will go by quickly because we are going to start preparing right away.
"I want to thank the team for how they have welcomed me and how hard they have worked; I hope they can rest this winter.”
Holgado also shared the track with the CFMoto Aspar Racing Team Moto3 riders, Dennis Foggia and Maximo Quiles. As well as fellow Moto2 rookie, Collin Veijer, who will ride with the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad.
