Moto2 France, Practice Results | Manuel Gonzalez dominated the opening day of the French Grand Prix

The Moto2 sessions at the French Grand Prix were both topped by Manuel Gonzalez during Friday Practice.

Manuel Gonzalez was the fastest on Friday morning at the French Grand Prix, he then went on to top the Friday afternoon Practice session and was 0.335 seconds quicker than the rest of the field.

Diogo Moreira jumped up the order in the final moments of the afternoon Practice session. The Brazilian rider ended the day in second place on the Italtrans Racing team machine.

The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team ended the day in third and fourth place. Filip Salac ended the day in third and got the better of his British teammate Jake Dixon.

Completing the top five was Celestino Vietti on the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team Boscoscuro. The Italian was 0.547 seconds off of Gonzalez's best time at the end of the day.

After a dreadful start to the 2025 season, Jorge Navarro appears to have found pace at the French Grand Prix. The Spaniard at the KLINT Forward Factory Team ended the day in sixth place.

Sergio Garcia has had a terrible start to his second year in the Moto2 Championship, but he ended day one at Le Mans in seventh place on the QJMOTOR - Frinsa - MSi Boscoscuro.

Alonso Lopez made sure that both Beta Tools SpeedRS Team riders ended the day in the top ten, as he ended the session in eighth.

Albert Arenas was the lone ITALJET Gresini Moto2 rider in Practice after Darryn Binder was involved in a big incident in the morning session. But the Spaniard qualified for Q2 after ending the day in ninth place.

Completing the top ten was Tony Arbolino and the bLU cRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 squad.
