Jorge Martin crashed in Q2 on his first flying lap. However, the Spaniard was determined to set a lap time and ended up qualifying in fourth place.

Ducati locked out the second row with Martin in fourth, Alex Marquez in fifth and Franco Morbidelli in sixth.

Brad Binder also came through Q1, but he did not manage to match Acosta's pace. The South African rider ended up qualifying in seventh.

The top Aprilia rider was Miguel Oliveira in eighth place on the third row of the grid. Joining Oliveira on the third row will be his teammate, Raul Fernandez in ninth.

Completing the top ten was Johann Zarco as the only Honda rider in Q2. Rounding out the fourth row is the two factory Aprilia riders of Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales in 11th and 12th.
