After crashing out of the Spanish Grand Prix, Marc Marquez looked determined in Free Practice One at the French Grand Prix.
Marc Marquez was immediately on the pace on Friday morning as he went 0.576 seconds quicker than the rest of the field. After crashing at Jerez, the Spaniard is searching for redemption at Le Mans.
It was a positive morning for Brad Binder as he ended the session in second place. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider put new tyres in at the end of the session and jumped up the order.
The MotoGP World Championship leader, Alex Marquez, was in third place at the end of the session. The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider was 0.620 seconds slower than his older brother.
Francesco Bagnaia had a decent Friday morning as he ended the session in fourth place. The Italian did not improve like the majority of the field in the latter part of the session.
The top Aprilia rider at the end of Free Practice One was the MotoGP rookie, Ai Ogura. The Japanese rider was 0.640 seconds behind Marquez but was 11 places above the next Aprilia rider.
Fabio Quartararo was the top Yamaha at his home round as he ended the opening session in sixth on the Monster Energy Yamaha.
Franco Morbidelli was the fourth Ducati rider in the top ten as he ended Free Practice One in seventh on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team machine.
Johann Zarco was the top Honda rider in the opening session at his home circuit as he finished in eighth place on the LCR Honda.
Fermin Aldeguer was the second MotoGP rookie inside the top ten as he took the chequered flag in ninth on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP machine.
Completing the top ten was Maverick Vinales on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine, but he was 0.873 seconds behind Marc Marquez.
