MotoGP France, Free Practice Two Results | Fabio Quartararo was fastest at home

In the final Practice session of the weekend, Fabio Quartararo took top spot on Saturday morning at his home round.

Fabio Quartararo took top spot on Saturday morning at the French Grand Prix. The French rider was 0.066 seconds quicker than the rest of the field and has been on strong form since the Spanish Grand Prix.

Marc Marquez was in second place in the final Practice session, after topping both sessions on Friday; he is the favourite for the races this weekend.

MotoGP rookie, Fermin Aldeguer, ended the morning in third place on the timesheets. The Spaniard put in a Practice qualifying lap at the end of the session to move into the top three.

Francesco Bagnaia was in fourth place and 0.202 seconds behind Quartararo's best lap time. The Italian was third on Friday afternoon and will be in the fight for a podium this weekend.

Completing a block of four Ducati riders was Alex Marquez, who ended the morning session in fifth place on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP machine.

Red Bull KTM ended the session in sixth and seventh places, Maverick Vinales put the Tech3 machine in sixth, and Acosta put the Factory Racing machine in seventh.

Franco Morbidelli has been slightly off the pace this weekend after a big crash at Jerez. However, he ended the morning session in eighth place on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team machine.

Honda completed the top ten as Johann Zarco was in ninth on the LCR Honda and then Luca Marini was in tenth on the Honda HRC Castrol machine.
