For the tenth time this season Francesco Bagnaia claims victory in a Grand Prix as he closes the gap in the Championship.
Francesco Bagnaia crashed on Saturday in the MotoGP Sprint Race. However, on Sunday the three-time Champion showed why he is a three-time Champion. The Italian rider dominated the Malaysian Grand Prix after a tense battle with Jorge Martin in the opening laps.
The Championship Leader, Jorge Martin, had to settle for second place in Malaysia. The Spaniard now has a lead of 24 points in the standings with one round remaining in the Championship.
In third place, Enea Bastianini as the Ducati Lenovo rider completed his penultimate race for Ducati. The Italian had a boring ride as he finished 10 seconds behind Bagnaia.
Gresini Racing completed a Ducati top-four lockout as Alex Marquez finished in fourth. The Spaniard was 12 seconds behind Bagnaia as he held off the chasing KTM behind him in fifth.
Pedro Acosta was the first non-Ducati rider in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The MotoGP rookie continues his return to form after a run of difficult races before Thailand.
Yamaha returned to the fight in Malaysia as both of their riders finished inside the top ten. Fabio Quartararo ended the Malaysian Grand Prix in sixth with Alex Rins in eighth.
