Gresini Racing completed a Ducati top-four lockout as Alex Marquez finished in fourth. The Spaniard was 12 seconds behind Bagnaia as he held off the chasing KTM behind him in fifth.

Pedro Acosta was the first non-Ducati rider in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The MotoGP rookie continues his return to form after a run of difficult races before Thailand.

Yamaha returned to the fight in Malaysia as both of their riders finished inside the top ten. Fabio Quartararo ended the Malaysian Grand Prix in sixth with Alex Rins in eighth.

The top Aprilia rider was Maverick Vinales as he finished in seventh place in Round 19 of the 2024 season.

For the first time in the 2024 season, Augusto Fernandez finished inside the top ten. The Spaniard crossed the line in tenth claiming his best result of the season.
