Marc Marquez dominated the opening session of the weekend at the Lusail International Circuit.

The fourth round of the MotoGP World Championship started in a familiar way in Qatar. Once again, it was Marc Marquez who set the pace in Free Practice One on the factory Ducati.

The Ducati domination continued outside of the top five as Franco Morbidelli was in sixth and Fermin Aldeguer was in seventh.

Honda HRC Castrol continue to find themselves in the top ten as Joan Mir ended the session in eighth.

The top Aprilia rider at the end of the opening session of the weekend was Marco Bezzecchi on the RS-GP.
