Jorge Martin one-ups Francesco Bagnaia at Misano in the Italian's backyard as he runs away with the Sprint Race.
In Qualifying the front row was locked out by the VR46 Academy riders, with Francesco Bagnaia on pole. But Jorge Martin was lurking at the head of the second row s he started from fourth on the grid.
From the moment when the lights went out, it was Martin's race to lose. The Spaniard got a perfect launch as he blasted passed the three VR46 riders ahead of him. Nobody was able to show Martin a wheel for the remainder of the race as he destroyed the field.
Francesco Bagnaia dropped back from first to second from the very first lap. The Italian rider was unable to battle Martin and towards the end of the race could not keep up with his Championship rival.
For the first time this season and the first time in his career, Franco Morbidelli claimed a Sprint Race podium. The Italian rider is back to his best at Misano as he put his Prima Pramac machine on the podium in third.
Ducati completed a top-five lockout as Enea Bastianini finished in fourth place and Marc Marquez finished in fifth place.
KTM finished in sixth, seventh and eighth. Pedro Acosta was the top KTM rider on his Red Bull GasGas Tech3 machine. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing riders finished in seventh and eighth place with Brad Binder in seventh and Jack Miller in eighth.
Completing the points was Fabio Quartararon in ninth place for Yamaha. Then rounding out the top ten was Alex Marquez on his Gresini Ducati.
