MotoGP Thailand, Practice Results: Marquez sets a new all-time lap record in Buriram, Martin finishes second with Bagnaia in fourth

Marc Marquez led the way on Friday as he set a new all-time lap record, Martin and Bagnaia finished in second and fourth.

A week after winning the Australian Grand Prix it was Marc Marquez who ended up fastest on Friday in Thailand. The Gresini Racing MotoGP goes well around the Chang International Circuit and will be searching for his fourth win of the season.

The MotoGP Championship leader, Jorge Martin, finished in second place on Day One. The Spaniard ended up quicker than his main title rival despite being 0.1 seconds behind Marquez.

The two Ducati Lenovo riders ended up in third and fourth places on Friday afternoon. Enea Bastianini finished in third place with Francesco Bagnaia in fourth.

The top Aprilia on Friday in Thailand was Maverick Vinales as he finished in fifth place. Vinales was also the only Aprilia to secure a Qualifying Two spot on Friday.

Prima Pramac Racing rider, Franco Morbidelli, ended the day in sixth place on his Ducati GP24.

After suffering a shoulder injury last week in Australia, Pedro Acosta is back on the pace in Thailand. The MotoGP rookie finished Day One in Thailand in seventh place as the only KTM rider in the top ten.

In eighth and ninth places were two Ducati GP23 riders with Alex Marquez in eighth and Marco Bezzecchi in ninth.

Completing the top ten was LCR Honda Castrol rider, Johann Zarco. The French rider was the only rider from a Japanese manufacturer to secure his way into the second Qualifying session on Friday.
