After ending his 2023 season early Danny Kent completes his first full season with Yamaha in 2024. After a year with Yamaha, it is Kent's third manufacturer in the last three years in British Superbikes.
Danny Kent's career has come a long way since winning the 2015 Moto3 World Championship. In 2022 the British rider came to the British Superbike Championship with Buildbase Suzuki. In 2023 he spent a year with his own team on a Honda, before having his best British Superbike season in 2024 with Yamaha.
The 31-year-old was one of three Yamaha riders on the 2024 grid and ended the year with his first British Superbike race win.
In the 2024 British Superbike Championship Kent visited the podium nine times. One of his podium visits was as a race-winner, he also had four second places and four third places. At the end of the year, Kent also managed to clinch fourth place in the 2024 standings.
In the 32 races in 2024, Kent raced 31 times and completed 26 races throughout the whole season. As well as his nine podium finishes he had 10 top five finishes and four further top ten finishes. Kent only finished three races out of the top ten and when he finished a race he always scored points.
Next season Kent will remain with the McAMS by Mar-Train Yamaha squad. A second season with the same team and the same bike puts him in a good place to fight for the 2025 title.
