SpeedUp Racing ends Day One on top at Phillip Island as Fermin Aldeguer tops the Moto2 timesheets.
Fermin Aldeguer set the pace on Friday afternoon in the Moto2 session. The beginning of the Moto2 Practice One session saw damp conditions but the end of the session featured a drying track.
Fantic Racing rider, Aron Canet, featured in second place at Phillip Island as he put in a late lap time.
The second SpeedUp Racing rider Alonso Lopez ended the day in third place. The Spaniard lost out on a SpeedUp 1-2 lockout after Canet jumped into second in the latter moments of the session.
Manuel Gonzalez completed an all-Spanish top four as he put his Gresini Moto2 machine in fourth place.
British rider, Jake Dixon, ended his day in fifth place in the mixed conditions. Dixon has had three difficult Grands Prix across the last three races and will be hunting for a podium finish in Australia.
ELF Marc VDS Racing rider Tony Arbolino ended the day inside the top ten in sixth place. Just behind Arbolino was Sergio Garcia, the Spaniard is another rider who needs a good result to end 2024.
The second Gresini Moto2 rider Albert Arenas found his way into the top ten as he finished in eighth.
Red Bull KTM Ajo rider, Deniz Oncu, finished in ninth place as his last lap time of the session launched himself into the top ten.
Completing the top ten was Izan Guevara on the second CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team machine.
