Moto2 Indonesia, Race Results: Canet secures his second Moto2 victory, Ogura beats his title rivals

Aron Canet becomes a two-time Moto2 race winner as he dominates at Mandalika.

For the second time in his Moto2 career, Aron Canet is a Moto2 race winner as he dominates the Indonesian Grand Prix. The Spanish rider claimed pole position on Saturday and then dominated the 22-lap race on Sunday.

It was a Champions ride from Ai Ogura as he ended up crossing the line in second, 6.218 seconds behind Canet. The Japanese rider has extended his Championship lead over his near rivals by settling for second as he witnessed Canet extending his advantage.

The SpeedUp Racing riders qualified in fifth and sixth places on Saturday and finished in third and fourth on Sunday. It was Alonso Lopez, who started in sixth, and finished in third place with his teammate Fermin Aldeguer in fourth.

For the first time this season Darryn Binder finished inside the top five on the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP machine. The South African rider completed the top five as he finished in fifth.

Joe Roberts has claimed back-to-back sixth places in Moto2 after some difficult weekends. The American finished sixth at Misano and finished sixth in Indonesia.

Tony Arbolino originally crossed the line in eighth place but has been promoted to seventh due to Izan Guevara's disqualification.

After running towards the podium positions for the majority of the Indonesian Grand Prix Manuel Gonzalez ended up finishing in eighth.

Deniz Oncu was back inside the points after two terrible weekends at Misano. The Turkish rider finished in ninth place at the Indonesian Grand Prix after finishing 19th and crashing at the two Misano races.

Completing the top ten was Marcos Ramirez, the Spaniard was promoted from 11th to tenth after the race.

British rider Jake Dixon finished in 22nd place after crashing out of the top ten.
