The 2024 season seemed to have been a 'what could have been' sort of year for Ryan Vickers. Although the Yamaha rider became a consistent podium contender, he suffered one too many crashes during the year.
Ryan Vickers has been in the British Superbike Championship since 2019 and is still only 25 years old. However, his second year on a Yamaha was by far his best season in the Superbike class since he arrived.
Originally Vickers arrived in British Superbikes on a Kawasaki, which he spent three years on. In 2022 Vickers spent one year on a BMW in the FHO Racing squad before moving to OMG Yamaha in 2023. But the 2024 season was by far Vickers' breakthrough season on the Yamaha R1.

In 2023 Vickers won his first British Superbike races as he won twice on the Yamaha. But in 2024 the young British rider upped his amount of wins as he won seven races during the season. He also went on to stand on six further podiums.
However, as well as his 13 podiums he suffered five DNFs and missed four races during the season. Outside of his podium visits, Vickers was inside the top five on two other occasions. But he only missed out on the top ten in two of the 23 races that he finished.
Vickers will not race in the British Superbike Championship in the 2025 season. Instead the 25-year-old will move on to the World Superbike Championship with Motocorsa Ducati.
