For the third time in 2024, Fermin Aldeguer claims pole position in the Moto2 World Championship.
The Moto2 World Championship is still up for grabs, but it could be won this weekend by Ai Ogura.
For the third time in 2024, Fermin Aldeguer qualified on pole position for the SpeedUp Racing Team. Aldeguer has not stood on a podium since he won the German Grand Prix, seven Grand Prix events ago.
In the middle of the front row was Fantic Racing rider, Aron Canet. The Spanish rider will start from second place as he aims for his third win of the 2024 season.
Alonso Lopez will start from third place at the back of the front row. The SpeedUp Racing rider won the Australian Grand Prix in 2022 and will be looking to win again on Sunday.
The head of the second row was Marcos Ramirez on the OnlyFans American Racing Team machine. The Spaniard has not had a podium this season but starting from fourth place gives him a good chance to stand on the rostrum.
Barry Baltus has not stood on the podium since the opening round of the season in Qatar. The Belgian rider will start the Australian Grand Prix from fifth place for the Australian Grand Prix.
Manuel Gonzalez will start from sixth place on the grid for the Australian Grand Prix. The Spaniard won his first Moto2 Grand Prix in Japan and could win his second Grand Prix this weekend.
Italtrans Racing Team rider, Diogo Moreira, will start from the head of the third row. The Brazilian rider will start from seventh place on the grid.
Eighth place on the Moto2 grid for the Australian Grand Prix is Spanish rider, Albert Arenas.
The Moto2 World Championship leader, Ai Ogura, will start the Australian Grand Prix in ninth place.
British rider, Jake Dixon, will start the Australian Grand Prix in tenth place for the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team.
