Moto2 Barcelona, Free Practice Results: Canet sets the pace in Moto2, Dixon ends the morning in sixth

Friday morning saw Aron Canet top the Moto2 timesheets in Moto2 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Aron Canet tops the final Free Practice session of the 2024 Moto2 season. The Spaniard set the pace on Friday morning at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

After missing the Malaysian Grand Prix due to injury Fermin Aldeguer has returned for the season finale and finished second in Free Practice. The Spaniard is in the fight for third place in the standings and will make his MotoGP debut next week.

Tony Arbolino is entering his final Grand Prix weekend with the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team. The Italian ended Friday morning in third place.

Alonso Lopez put both SpeedUp Racing riders inside the top five as he ended the session in fourth.

OnlyFans American Racing Team rider, Marcos Ramirez, ended Friday morning in fifth place and could challenge for his second podium of the season.

British rider, Jake Dixon, has had a difficult end to the 2024 season but has started the season finale in a good way. In his last Grand Prix with the Aspar Team Dixon ended Free Practice in sixth.

Red Bull KTM Ajo rider, Celestino Vietti, will head to SpeedUp next season. However, in his last ride for Aki Ajo the Italian started the weekend in seventh.

Jorge Navarro continues to replace the injured Joe Roberts in Barcelona. The Spaniard finished Free Practice in eighth.

Future MotoGP rider, Somkiat Chantra, finished in ninth place in the Solidarity Grand Prix Free Practice.

Completing the top ten was Filip Salac on the Elf Marc VDS Racing machine.
