Moto2 Malaysia, Qualifying Results: Navarro secured pole position for the American Racing Team

The replacement rider, Jorge Navarro, secured pole position in the Moto2 class at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Despite being a replacement rider, Jorge Navarro claimed pole position at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Spaniard is replacing Joe Roberts in the OnlyFans American Racing Team and set the pace on Saturday.

Marcos Ramirez completed an OnlyFans American Racing Team 1-2. The Spaniard could not match his teammate's pace but is searching for his second podium of the season.

Celestino Vietti only returned from injury this weekend but he qualified on the front row. The Italian rider is into his final two races with the Red Bull KTM Ajo Team and will start the Malaysian Grand Prix in third.

Gresini Moto2 rider, Albert Arenas, will start from the front of the second row as he qualified in fourth place. The Spaniard has not stood on the podium in 2024 but could fight for one on Sunday.

Deniz Oncu has been having a strong Malaysian Grand Prix. The Turkish rider will start from fifth place on his Red Bull KTM Ajo machine.

At the back of the second row is Tony Arbolino on the Elf Marc VDS Racing machine. The Italian still has no plans announced for 2025, but will likely ride for the new Pramac Moto2 Team.

At the front of the third row is the new Moto2 World Champion, Ai Ogura. The Japanese rider won the Championship last week in Thailand but is chasing his first win since the San Marino Grand Prix.

Manuel Gonzalez will start from eighth place in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Spaniard has not stood on the podium since his race win in Japan.

Diogo Moreira completed the third row of the grid as he qualified in ninth place on the Italtrans Racing Team machine.

Rounding out the top ten was the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team rider of Filip Salac.
