Aron Canet jumps up from second to claim the top spot at the end of the opening day at Misano.
Tony Arbolino led the way at the start of Friday as he topped the Moto2 Free Practice session. But in the afternoon it was the Spaniards who fought back in Practice One.
It was Aron Canet who took the top spot on Friday for the Fantic Racing Team. The Spaniard started the weekend in second but made his way to the top spot in the afternoon.
In second place was one of the VR46 Academy members, Celestino Vietti. The Italian will know Misano like the back of his hand and will be in the fight for a podium this weekend.
In third was Manuel Gonzalez, the Spaniard finished the morning session in fourth but improved to third in the afternoon.
After finishing first in Free Practice on Friday morning Arbolino dropped down to fourth place in Practice One.
The second QJMOTOR Gresini rider of Albert Arenas finished in fifth place. The Spaniard improved from 17th place in the morning session.
Ai Ogura jumped up from 19th to sixth place across Friday. The Japanese rider has struggled since fracturing his hand in Austria.
The SpeedUp riders were both in the top ten as they finished in seventh and ninth place. Alonso Lopez finished in seventh with Fermin Aldeguer in ninth.
Somkiat Chantra ended up ending Friday in eighth place. Three places lower than where he was in the morning session.
Completing the top ten was Filip Salac in tenth place. The Czech rider has not announced a ride for 2025 and needs some good Moto2 results to help secure one.
Jake Dixon had a humbling afternoon session after he had a little crash. The British rider was not injured and carried on to finish 13th place.
