Aron Canet set a new Moto2 lap record as he went on to top Saturday morning Practice.

On Friday afternoon it was Aron Canet who led the Moto2 field at Misano. But on Saturday before Qualifying some fast riders wanted a slot in the second Qualifying session.

It was Canet who continued to set the pace around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The Spaniard set a Moto2 lap record as he topped Practice Two.

Tony Arbolino topped the opening Moto2 session of the weekend but dropped back to fourth on Friday afternoon. The Italian made his way back up to second place on Saturday morning.

The top Boscoscuro rider was Ai Ogura. The Japanese rider has struggled since fracturing his hand in Austria but is back at the sharp end this weekend.

QJMOTOR Gresini rider, Manuel Gonzalez, has floated around the top five in the three Practice sessions. The Spaniard has ended Practice in fourth place, three-tenths behind Canet.

Fermin Aldeguer completed the top five as he took his SpeedUp machine into the top ten. The Spaniard needs a good weekend in Misano after a disaster at Aragon.

VR46 Academy rider Celestino Vietti was in second place yesterday. However, today he dropped back to sixth place at the end of Moto2 Practice.

In seventh place was American rider Joe Roberts. The American Racing Team rider has struggled in recent weeks and could also use a strong weekend in Misano.

Albert Arenas and Diogo Moreira were only separated by 0.050 seconds as they finished eighth and ninth.

British rider, Jake Dixon, rounded out the top ten in Moto2 as he finished in tenth. After winning in Aragon Dixon is now at a track that he has not done historically well at.
