Moto2 San Marino, Race Results: Ogura returns to winning ways, Dixon in fifth

Gold and Goose

Ai Ogura is back on the top step of a Moto2 podium for the first time since Assen.

At Misano Tony Arbolino started the Moto2 race from pole position, having not won a race this season the Italian was on the hunt for his first win of the season.

For the first time since Assen, it was Ai Ogura who won the Moto2 race at Misano. The Japanese rider had been struggling with a fractured hand but he was back to his best as he claimed the Championship lead.

Aron Canet ended up finishing back in second place. The Spanish rider has become excellent at leading races, but he cannot hold onto race leads in the latter stages.

Arbolino is on a Moto2 podium for the second weekend in a row. The Italian finished in second place at Aragon and finished in third place at Misano.

Spanish rider, Manuel Gonzalez, claimed his best result since Mugello as he finished in fourth place in Misano.

Jake Dixon continues his Championship challenging form as he finished in fifth place in Misano. The British rider may not have been able to extend his run of podiums, but put in a great ride after starting in 14th.

SpeedUp Racing rider, Fermin Aldeguer, finished in sixth place. While his teammate struggled at Misano Aldeguer stayed on his bike and delivered some decent points.

In seventh and eighth were Filip Salac and Diogo Moreira. Seventh place is Salac's best result of the season, with eighth being Moreira's second-best result.

Albert Arenas put his QJMOTOR Gresini bike into the top ten as he finished in ninth place, just ahead of Darryn Binder in tenth place.
