Moto2 Thailand, Race Results: Canet claims victory in a red flagged Thai Grand Prix, Ogura clinches the Moto2 title

After a red flag was shown Aron Canet won the Thai Grand Prix, with Ai Ogura claiming the Moto2 title.

Aron Canet has claimed his third race win of the 2024 Moto2 World Championship. The Spaniard dominated in the tricky conditions and was three seconds ahead of the field when the red flag was shown.

Japanese rider, Ai Ogura, has been crowned the 2024 Moto2 World Champion as he finished second in Thailand. The #79 will head to MotoGP in 2025 as the reigning Moto2 Champion.

For the first time this season Marcos Ramirez made his way onto a Moto2 podium. The Spaniard finished in third place at the Chang International Circuit.

Home hero, Somkiat Chantra, could have claimed a home podium if the red flag had not been shown. However, the Thai rider ended up finishing in fourth place on his return to Moto2 racing.

Italtrans Racing Team rider, Diogo Moreira, was in the fight for a podium in Thailand. The Moto2 rookie was not afraid to battle with the established riders as he claimed another top-five finish.

The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team riders ended the Thai Grand Prix in sixth and seventh places. Izan Guevara finished in sixth place with British rider, Jake Dixon, in seventh.

The Gresini Moto2 riders were also together on track as they finished in eighth and ninth places. Albert Arenas was in eighth with Manuel Gonzalez in ninth place.

Completing the top ten was the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider, Deniz Oncu.
