Moto2 Austria, Practice One: Ogura the rider to beat at the Red Bull Ring, Dixon 10th, Roberts 21st

Gold and Goose

Ai Ogura once again set the pace in Moto2 Practice, Aron Canet and Manuel Gonzalez were just behind the Japanese rider.

In the morning session, it was Ai Ogura who set the pace around the Red Bull Ring only a day after announcing his move to MotoGP.

Ogura's domination continued into the afternoon session as the Japanese rider topped the first timed Moto2 Practice. Ogura was the only rider to set a lap time in the 1:33's.

Aron Canet finished in second place, ahead of fellow Spaniard Manuel Gonzalez in third place. Canet has jumped up the order after his seventh place in the morning session and Gonzalez stayed in third.

Marcos Ramirez finished as the top American Racing Team rider in fourth place as his teammate, Joe Roberts finished outside of the top 20.

Celestino Vietti recovered from his crash in the morning session to finish fifth in the afternoon.

Alonso Lopez had been down in 19th place for a lot of the session. Until the Spaniard set a quick lap time and jumped up to sixth.

Somkiat Chantra stays in the top ten. However, he could not improve his pace from the morning session and dropped to seventh.

Just like Lopez, it was clear that Sergio Garcia was struggling for a lap time. However, after following other riders Garcia upped his pace and moved into eighth place.

Tony Arbolino finished in ninth place this afternoon for the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team. The Italian was just ahead of the rider who could be his team-mate next year, with Jake Dixon in tenth place.
