Moto2 Austria, Qualifying: Vietti will start from pole, Canet and Garcia complete the front row, Dixon is in sixth

Gold and Goose

Celestino Vietti will start the Austrian Grand Prix from pole position. Joining him on the front row is Aron Canet and Sergio Garcia.

Ai Ogura was ruled out of the Austrian Grand Prix before Qualifying began after a crash in Saturday Practice. This gives Sergio Garcia a chance to extend his Championship lead over his teammate.

For the second time in three Grands Prix, it is Celestino Vietti starting from pole. The Italian rider has lost his seat at the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad for 2025 but has just started to find form recently.

Aron Canet will start from second place on the grid. After finishing second place at Silverstone two weeks ago the Spaniard will be looking for a win this weekend.

The MT Helmets - MSi squad are without Ogura this weekend. However, Sergio Garcia will start from the front row in third.

On the head of the second row is Tony Arbolino who will start from fourth. The Italian is just ahead of Alonso Lopez in fifth place.

Jake Dixon will start the Austrian Grand Prix from sixth. After winning the British Grand Prix the British rider will be looking to win his second race of the year.

The third row will feature Marcos Ramirez from the American Racing Team, Somkiat Chantra from the IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia squad and Gresini's Manuel Gonzalez.

Rounding out the top ten on the grid is Izan Guevara.
