A satellite rider had never won the MotoGP World Championship, but Jorge Martin broke that streak in 2024.
Jorge Martin had missed out on the 2023 MotoGP World Championship and the only thing on his mind for 2024 was revenge. Consistency was the only thing that had let the Spaniard down in the past, something that he would fix in 2024.
Martin took his satellite Ducati to the factory red Ducati's and came out victorious. To rub more salt in Ducati's wounds the 2024 MotoGP World Champion will not be riding for the Italian manufacturer in 2025.

Throughout the 2024 MotoGP World Championship Martin won 10 races across Grands Prix and Sprint Races. However, his Sprint Race performances continued to reign supreme as he won seven Sprints to his three Grand Prix victories.
Compared to his rivals his consistency was on a new level in 2024 as he featured on 22 further podiums throughout the year. There were also only four races throughout the year where he failed to score points, a new low for the 26-year-old.
The 2025 MotoGP World Championship will be a new adventure for Martin as he joins a new manufacturer in their factory team. The 2024 World Champion will take the #1 plate with him to Aprilia as he attempts to convert the RS-GP into a title-winning machine.
